Dominique King is an experienced digital marketing professional, tech entrepreneur, and founder of the I Heart My HBCU mobile application. In 2017, after a year and a half of research and development, King was the first to bridge spare change technology to support all 104 Historically Black Colleges & Universities (HBCUs) with the I Heart My HBCU iOS and android platform launch.
As a graduate of Howard University in Washington, D.C., King knows first-hand and is passionate about preserving the rich heritage of HBCUs and preserving the viability of these institutions. In her constantly evolving effort to give back and combine her professional knowledge, King aimed to develop a novel way to support HBCUs, combatting institutional financial challenges and producing scholars and leaders of today and tomorrow. It was out of this spirit of selflessness that I Heart My HBCU was born.
King is a native of Houston, TX, and a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
